Henry A. Paine, III, Ph.D, LPC, LMFT,
NCC, DABFC
A Licensed Professional Counselor and consultant
to both public and private sector
organizations, Hank has over 20 years of experience in working in counseling
and
psychotherapy. His client population has included working with individuals
and families.
He has been often requested as a consultant with public safety agencies
and has provided
services to over 30 police departments at the local and state levels as
well as consulting
with many fire departments. More recently, Hank has been requested by
private sector
businesses to assist in leadership and management as well as team building
and
conflict resolution.
Hank received his undergraduate degree from
the University of Alabama and took his
M.A. in marriage and family therapy from Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary
and later received an ED.S. Degree at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
He
received his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama with honors for outstanding
dissertation research and Most Outstanding Student in Counselor Education.
Most
recently, Hank has been selected out of a worldwide pool of applicants
to be in the
2005 class for the MSc in the renowned Legal and Forensic Psychology program
a
the University of Leicester, Leicester, England.
Hank has taught at both the undergraduate
and graduate levels and has also served as a
part-time instructor at Beeson Theological Seminary. He has had the opportunity
to
enjoy working in formal and informal settings with those involved in ministry
and
vocational Christian service. When requested a as a consultant, workshop
leader or in
the clinical setting, Hank is recognized for having special training and
experience in
law enforcement, public safety, trauma and crisis intervention, as well
as counseling
and psychotherapy.
Hank has been married to his wife Jan since
1987. They share in the joy of family with
two wonderful daughters, Kaitlyn and Kasey, one of whom has special needs.
